If I won a million dollars

I have been to both Las Vegas and Reno and was amazed to see how many people were in the casinos gambling. I had a little fling while I was there. I am frugal by nature so decided that I would play with a fixed figure and, if I won or lost, that is all that I would spend. It was fun and I enjoyed it, but it was controlled.

I knew a man when I lived on Vancouver Island who had become a millionaire from gambling in Las Vegas. He would sit in the pub and play Keno by himself for hours, some he won some he lost. He spent all that money on himself which I think was very sad. If I won a million dollars I can think of a million things I would like to do with it. Build a hospital in Africa, drill some wells in villages, sponsor hungry children. I would want to do good with it.

There is always a Bingo game in the village every Monday afternoon, and some of the men also meet for poker, maybe they play online poker to hone their skills. I am not very good at cards at all, my husband likes to play cribbage but I am not a fast enough player to make it fun for him.

I am not against gambling, as long as it is just fun and not an addiction, but I don’t like large crowds. I expect that is why some people enjoy online casinos if I was going to have a little fling I think I would rather go that route than go to one of the big gambling cities.
