I expect you have all see this picture at some time or another. It has been around for quite a while. I just love it. This is a lot how I look first thing in the morning. I don’t know why but my hair always sticks straight up. My hair is about the same colour too.

  1. You have to post a pic with your hair like that!lol.
My hair sticks up and out, one drop of moisture and its frizz city!
    I love that cat though.

  2. Dang Vic – where did you find that photo of me? I didn’t realize we are related but we must be since that is how I generally look when I get up and definitely before my first cup of coffee too!

  3. Hey Vic … The puppy will help keep you young, I promise.

Your bear post reminds me of two stories about the grizzly. In Montana, in the late fall they were spotted for years way above tree line, and know one could ever figure out what they were doing up there, when they were supposed to be putting on weight for winter. Finally some fellow went up and found the answer.
The moth of the army worm was taking refuge at those heights under the loose rocks. The bears were eating moths. They looked at the fat content in the moths, and sure enough the moth had the highest fat content of anything available at that time of the year… Something like 26% fat.

The other one is just a funny story. It is well know that hanging a bell on your back pack will alert the bears to your coming along. And that bears can be identified by looking at their “scat”. The way to tell grizzly scat is to look for the bells in it.

The Journals of Lewis and Clark have some great stories about “The Great White Bear” as they called them. My guess is they were seeing ones that had lived long lives, and the bleaching of the sun had really turned their coats blonde. No one ever was killed by one, but they had a lot of close calls moving a long the river.

  4. love this picture.I have never seen a cat with hair so long.
